Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode are activated on our payment pages. This further enhances the security of our web site payment process. Please take the time to register your password as all online card use will require this password by July 2007. For your security we are no longer able to take orders over the telephone...but we're always happy to chat and give any advice we can! Payments and refunds will appear on your statement as 'The Cottontree Yarn Co' .
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling
We charge a standard rate for postage of £3.25 on all orders. To ensure secure delivery of your purchases you may be asked to sign for your parcel on receipt. We are able to supply to addresses in UK and Northern Ireland at these rates. Please allow an additional 2 days for deliveries to remote areas, offshore or in the Scottish Highlands and islands.
Express delivery can be arranged on orders placed before noon, weekday deliveries only - £8.50. Select his option at checkout. Delivery should arrive before 1pm next working day. Deliveries to other countries in the EU are charged at £12.50 for airmail, delivery 2-5 days. VAT is added to postage and will be shown seperately on your invoice. We aim to despatch all orders within 2 working days. We use Royal Mail business service which is collected and sorted separately and is very efficient. We will contact you if there is any unforeseen delay and you have the option of cancelling your order.
Large packages or items posted outside Europe may be sent by surface mail. Standard rate postage is applied automatically to orders from outside Europe.
If your parcel does not arrive please check with neighbours and family members that the parcel has not been left with them or try contacting the local sorting office to see if the parcel is being held there. If however you have not received your parcel within 10 working days please contact us, contact@onestopbeachshop.co.uk or telephone 01282 603344 Monday to Friday 9am-5pm GMT.

We reserve the right not to deliver goods to addresses which we can not confirm as secure. This is undertaken in the interests of fraud prevention, and is a necessary precaution. If this affects your order we will contact you.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. We will send the delayed item out under separate cover and you will not be charged for this separate delivery. You have the option to cancel if you do not wish to wait for a back order.
Rarely, we may find an item is no longer available from our suppliers in which case we will inform you immediately.

Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security
The OneStopBeachShop website uses the industry standard, 'Protx' secure payment gateway when processing credit card information at our checkout. Protx are one of the most respected on-line payment providers in the world, and uses the most advanced security measures available using the new 3D secure card processing, Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.
Having made your purchases you are transferred through to the 'checkout' pages, where you will enter your credit card details onto the Protx secure payment server. Please take the time to register your new 3D secure password as all online card use will require this password by July 2007. For your security we are no longer able to take orders over the telephone...but we're always happy to chat and give any advice we can!
These pages are closely integrated into the site design to improve your shopping experience, but are actually pages hosted by Protx's own first-class payment processing server. This provides a level of security which is simply unobtainable to the average on-line merchant.
Using this system neither, OneStopBeachShop, nor anyone else, will ever see your credit card details. We will send you e-mail confirmation when we have received your order and when it is despatched.

OneStopBeachShop do not disclose customers information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party. We do not send random marketing e-mails to personal e-mail address. (spam)
Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' Option. Returns Policy
Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm As members of the SafeBuy organisation at OneStopBeachShop, we will go that bit further to make sure you are satisfied.
We want you to be satisfied with your purchases; but if you have any difficulties please contact us by 'phone or e-mail, and we can arrange return or exchange.
If you have placed an order by mistake or wish to cancel an order for any reason, please call or e-mail us within 24 hours of placing your order.
Should you change your mind about an order you can return it by contacting us up to 14 days after receipt. A full refund or exchange will be offered providing the goods are in their original packing and suitable for resale. Clothing and swimwear must be in their original condition and packaging, unworn and unwashed, with all labels intact.
You will be issued with a returns form to complete and sign, however, you will need to pay the cost of return postage on all but faulty items. We recommend that you use recorded delivery post and allow up to 10 days for return of funds to your account.
If you have requested a refund, or replacements of a lower value than the returned goods, a refund will be credited back to the card used to pay for the original order. We will let you know as soon as the refund has been processed.
If you have requested replacements of a higher value, we will ask you to re-order the goods and a refund will be credited back to the card used to pay for the original order as soon as we have received the unwanted goods back. We will let you know as soon as the refund has been processed.
